Hey, folks!

My goodness, I just realized how long it’s been since I’ve posted. Lots has happened since July! So I thought, why not to a quick catch-up session?

(It’s also fall! If you’re looking for some writing inspiration, check out my fall writing prompts post. Unless you’re in the southern hemisphere. In which case this will be the one for you.)

Work-wise, I’m currently working on a project that’s not the norm for me. I’ll post about it once I’m able, but suffice it to say I’m having a blast! And you will too when it’s available to read, I’m sure.

Writing-wise, I finished the sixth draft of my new adult romantasy novel back in August, and I’m waiting to have it proofread. At the (not very fast) speed I write, I want to get a start on the sequel even before the first is out, so I’ve started on that this week. I’m planning on releasing the first next year.

Reading-wise, I had the pleasure of meeting Jay W. Song through Instagram, and I read her debut poetry & short story collection, Becoming the Dawn. It’s a beautiful book, and I definitely recommend it to all the poetry lovers. Her second book recently came out, a lyrical novel called Silent Edelweiss, so it’s the perfect time to check out her stuff!

Personal life, I visited a little town called Mont Tremblant with my parents on my summer vacation, and it was gorgeous. I didn’t want to leave! If any of you ever go, I definitely recommend the nighttime walk/light show Tonga Lumina. It made me weirdly emotional. (Though maybe it’s not that weird. I cry easily.) I also got to meet some lovely actors at our local Comic-Con last month and had some pinch me moments!

What have you all been up to? Anything you’re looking forward to? (It’s almost Canadian Thanksgiving, so… pumpkin pie for me 😉)
